<p class="MsoNormal">The <u>Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA)</u> is a non-profit organization formed in 2001. It is a professional association for scholars in the field of peace and conflict resolution studies. It is also the North American affiliate
of the International Peace Research Association. <o:p></o:p></p>

PJSA holds an annual conference for academics, activists, and practitioners. The PJSA 2013 Conference is co-hosted by Global Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) and Peace and Conflict Studies from Conrad Grebel University College (Grebel). The conference
starts on <u>Thursday, Oct. 17<sup>th</sup></u> at 8:00 pm, ends on <u>Saturday, Oct. 19<sup>th</sup></u> at 7:00pm, and takes place mainly at WLU. A special presentation of Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem” will follow the conference at the Centre in the Square,
at 7:30 pm on Oct. 19. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A student conference also runs alongside the main academic conference this year, and will cover a wide range of themes and topics: disarmament, global health, international development, innovation, human rights, restorative justice, youth
environmental and peace activism, Aboriginal affairs, conflicts, etc. A portion of this student conference will take place at Conrad Grebel University College.<o:p></o:p></p>
