<p>There is growing concern that climate change will lead to large-scale population displacements and migration in coming decades. Some estimates suggest that by mid-century, hundreds of millions of people worldwide risk becoming environmental refugees. In
2013, a Kiribati man claimed political asylum in New Zealand, claiming that rising sea levels made it unsafe for him to continue living on his home island.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p>This panel of researchers will explore the scientific, political, and policy dimensions of the current debate over environmentally-related migration, and consider some of the important challenges that will face researchers and decision-makers in the years
ahead.<o:p></o:p></p>
