politically interesting cases to argue that this is wrong, but that there are far more<br>

One thing that stands in the way of increasing the numbers of women in academia is that discussions of equity often bog down in questions about whether the people making hiring and promotion decisions have bad intentions. Dr. Saul will consider research which
shows why such discussions miss the point because discrimination doesn’t require bad intentions. Attending to such results might help show the way towards fairer and better universities.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
