sonata, “in stilo molto concertante,” which implies the two performers are equal, dynamic voices. Outstanding musicians, champions of new Canadian music, visionary artistic directors, and inspiring mentors, Duo Concertante have forged a musical legacy and
strive to provoke thought and engagement through music in innovative ways. This performance, featuring Dawn Avery’s Iotsistokwaron:ion (The Stars), along with Canadian composer <strong><span style="font-family:"Georgia",serif">Ian Cusson</span></strong>’s
“Garden of Earthly Delights” and works by Dallapiccola and Schubert, evokes the place where music and critical issues intersect. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
