class PACS 325: Refugees and Forced Migration class is hosting a film screening of the 2021 film “Peace by Chocolate.” The award-winning film focuses on the true story of Tareq Hadhad, a Syrian refugee, and his family’s experience as they adapt to life in
a small town in Nova Scotia, while trying to rebuild the family chocolate business. </span></p>

Donations are being accepted with proceeds going towards local refugee organizations Compass Refugee Centre, Mennonite Central Committee Ontario, and Reception House. Snacks will be available by a donation to these organizations, and there will also be a post-film
discussion led by the class, in which audience members are invited to share their feelings and thoughts concerning the film. </span></p>
