Dear Colleagues,

The ACTR/ARTC THEORY DISCUSSION SESSION in Montreal this year will take
place on Sunday 28 May, at 5:30 pm (between regular sessions and
theatre-going), at the Cafe Cherrier. The articles to be discussed are:

Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak's "Can the Subaltern Speak?"; and,

Ellen Donkin's "Black Text, White Director: Issus of Race and Gender in
Directing African-American Drama" (bibliographic information is given at the
end of this message).

I will bring extra copies of the articles to the meeting. But I encourage
you to get and read copies yourselves in advance.

Looking forward to seeing you there,
