To sub automatically through a new server is easy. To unsub automatically
can be done only, I think, through the former server, using telnet to
reach it (which supposes one still has access to his old account). The
thing is that when you send a message, your server identifies itself to
the host server which would reject the message if the identity is
changed. The easiest way, in such a case, is to sub automatically now,
from the new server, and ask the moderator to unsub the former address
himself; he normally has the "keys" fot that.
Sorry for being so long, but, as moderator of QUEATRE, I do face that
problem very often, especially with servers which sub people using their
account number and reject all messages received with a nominal address
different from the account number (for example, I could be identified
<bourassa.andre_g at uqam.ca> one time, when I sub, and r10005 at er.uqam.ca
another time, when I send a message. Have fun!
