                              POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
                              FSU SCHOOL OF THEATRE
 
Description:  Assistant/Associate Professor/Technical Director.  Florida
State University School of Theatre seeks Assistant/Associate Professor for
tenure track position of Technical Director and Director of MFA Scenic
Technology Program.  Technical direct one show per year and supervise 3-4
graduate students.  Graduate course work is part of three-year program of
study in a comprehensive professional training school.  Twelve month,
tenure-earning position begins August, 1996.
 
Qualifications:  Candidates should be nationally recognized in the field,
and be able to teach in the areas of technical direction, production
management, rigging, advanced stage technology, and metal working.
Experience in computer applications such as AutoCAD expected.  Requires
terminal theatre degree and five or more years of experience.
