Subject: Canadian Culture

I am posting this request on behalf of D. Paul Schafer, Director of the
Unesco supported World Culture Project here in Canada. He is anxious to
compile a list of names and addresses of individuals and institutions
interested in, and /or offering courses on Canadian culture. He hopes
to share this list in order to broaden and deepen our understanding of
what Canada culture is and how it is best developed and taught. Please
email to me any names or contacts, or snail mail Paul directly at:
World Culture Project
19 Sir Gawaine Place.
Markham, Ontario
Canada L3P 3A1 Tel 905 471-1342

Such a list would be very useful to many of us . I hope you will
contribute names. Please feel free to post on other appropriate
listservs. This message has been be posted previously to
CDN-STUDIES(Trent).

While he did not ask me to do so, nor am I affiliated with the project
in any way, I must add that the World Culture Project has produced
three interesting and useful monographs. The Character of Canadian
Culture, Canadian Culture: Key to Canada's Future Development and most
recently, Canada's International Cultural Relations: Key to Canada's
Role in the World. They are available from him at the above address for
$20.00 each or $50.00 for the set of three.
