The launch was a huge success with journalists across the country
contacting me. Whether they help spread the word is another thing entirely.
However, might I ask you that if you see any kind of coverage of the
Encyclopedia in the media, that you draw it to my attention.

Meanwhile the search for funding can begin in earnest now (and there is an
urgency about it because this computer is weeping with the strain of the
2000 files). But, again, I can forget about the Canada Council. I know you
all think that I had already forgotten about them but in the mailbox, this
week, they announced to me that they were launching a pilot program for web
sites! In breathless anticipation I phoned the Council to make sure this
was true. Well...yes and no. Apparently if I do not create art on the web
site (ie: I dance nude in real time on the site), then it doesn't qualify.
Ah! well. The search for help is getting particularly arduous, especially
with government organizations. As you may have guessed I am not likely to
get funding from the province (Quebec) for something called "The
Encyclopedia of Canadian..." Canadian Heritage is such a maze that just
trying to talk to someone is like yelling in the dark. But we go on. (Sigh)

I'm also still looking for a theatre reviewer west of the Ontario border
(see the site for guidelines for submission).
