A Theatre Centre Mini-Conference on

DRAMATURGY

in association with the
Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas

***   June 28 and 29, 1999   ***

The Theatre Centre's Third Annual Mini-Conference features
 two full days devoted to the mysterious art of dramaturgy.
A vital element of the creation of any piece of theatre is the
process designed to develop the work. That design is one of
 the dramaturg's many responsibilites. Guest speakers will
discuss specific projects by addressing in detail the process
 they used to develop the play.

Improving the design process of play development programs
and empowering artists to have greater confidence in designing
their own development path are our goals. This conference
will take the form of an extended conversation about dramaturgy
and we'd like you to join us.

Participants include:

* Peter Hinton (Playwrights Workshop Montreal)
*  Jillian Keiley (director, NFLD.)
*  Don Kugler (dramaturg/director, Vancouver)
*  Vanessa Porteous (ATP, Calgary)
*  Brian Quirt (dramaturg/director, Toronto)
* Sarah Stanley (Buddies in Bad Times)
*  Judith Thompson (playwright, Toronto)
