Part retreat, part intensive workshop, part holiday, THE SUMMER SHIFT makes
creative use of the natural environments - woods, seashore and mountains -
of West Wales and the contribution of outstanding international tutors from
India, the USA and Australia:

Led by theatre directors Richard Gough and Joan Mills, participants explore
site-specific opportunities to create images in and with the landscape and
studio-based work.

Enrol for all three weeks or CHOOSE from the following plus theatre & voice
training with Richard Gough and Joan Mills:

‘Bodyweather’/Butoh movement training with Tess de Quincey from Australia
(6-13 July)

Classical and contemporary Indian dance training with Daksha Sheth Dance
Company from India (15-19 July)

Grotowski inspired ‘Performance Ecology’ workshop with New World Performance
Laboratory from the USA (20-23 July)

New World Performance Laboratory plus a performative visit (23-24 July) to
Ramsey Island with radical Wales-based director, Mike Pearson (20-28 July)
