A wonderful collection of fiction, documentary, animation and music videos about black communities begins a nine-city cross-Canada tour in Toronto this Friday, January 31.

These Iced in Black: Canadian Black Experiences on Film directors and titles are:

Black Soul/Ame Noire (Martine Chartrand); Blind Date (Sarah Michelle Brown); Chocolate City (Stefan Verna); Coming to Voice (Glace Lawrence); Destiny (Laurie Lambert); Divas: Love Me Forever (Edimburgo Cabrera); The Journey of Lesra Martin (Cheryl Foggo); In the Key of Oscar (Sylvia Sweeney, William Cunningham); Last Witness (Emmanuel Kedini); Making Change (Colina Philips); The Photographer: An Artist's Journey (Anton Wagner); Planet of Junior Brown (Clement Virgo); Portia White: Think on Me (Sylvia Hamilton); Roland Jean: A Modernist Portrait (Michelle Anne Bess); Short Hymn, Silent War (Charles Officer); Show Girls/Les Girls (Meilan Lam); Spoken Word (Seth Adrian Harris); Style of My Soul (Kai Soremekun); a Music Video Series (Erskine "Skin" Forde, Errol Boucaud, Masani Montague, Jim Morrison, Chris Scott, Dawn Wilkinson, and Butta Babees); and an animation children's collection (Cilia Sawadogo, Vincent Gauthier and Jamie Mason).
