Voice tone

Hello everyone,

One of the qualities of my voice is that it is pretty loud. Would "loudness"
mean that "tone" of the voice? I would like to change the quality of my voice.
I like the voice of the actor Morgan Freeman. Not being a voice expert, I
would say his voice is deep and not loud (like one would have in a shouting
match). How do I work on getting a deep voice yet not loud? Are these voice
characteristics mutually inclusive?

Sometimes when I am trying to make a point in a meeting, my voice volume seems
to create a not so positive impression or outcome. I need to work on this
trait.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
