One-year term position

Brandon University's Drama program seeks a one-year, full-time sabbatical
replacement at the ranks of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the area of
Acting, subject to budget. Courses to be taught include: Spolin-based
Improvisation, Scene Study classes in both Modern Drama and Shakespeare and
the direction of a major student production. Candidates should possess a
Master of Fine Arts in Acting or Directing, post-secondary teaching and
professional theatre experience. Candidates may apply without the M.F.A. if
there is excellence in the other two areas.  Knowledge of theatre
production would also be advantageous.

Preferred start date:           1 August 2003
Deadline for applications:      31 May 2003 or until the position is filled

The Drama Program is resident within the Faculty of Arts. Courses in Drama
serve the needs of the general campus community as well as students from
the preprofessional conservatory program in the School of Music. Candidates
whose research and/or teaching interests contribute to the Faculty of Arts'
priority hiring areas of Classics, Global Studies, Science and Technology,
and/or Women's Studies are particularly encouraged to apply.
