The Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies, The University of
Wales Aberystwyth, announces a new taught MA Scheme: Audience and Reception
Studies.

This unique course, the first of its kind in the U.K. and indeed much more
widely, offers the chance to focus on all the ways in which audiences have
been and can be studied. Based within the Department of Theatre, Film and
Television Studies, and taught by a team of staff with a strong range of
relevant research experiences, the course addresses audiences for new media,
theatrical and performative events, alongside the more traditionally-studied
audiences for film, television and the like. There is also a chance to
extend the study of audiences to other sectors such as
the literary. The course combines a deep grounding in academic study of
audiences, engagement with commercial and policy research practice and
practitioners, and the chance to rehearse and evaluate a range of research
skills.
