                SESSIONAL/GUEST ARTIST POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The School of Dramatic Art invites applications from qualified individuals
interested in teaching the following courses:

WINTER 2005

24-115-01   Stagecraft I
            Introductory course specifically directed toward the technical
            aspects of scenic construction. [Mon/Wed - 8:30-9:50 am]

24-210-01   Speech Communication to Inform
            A beginning course designed to help the student to develop
            poise and confidence in communicating information. [Mon/Wed -
            10:00-11:20 am]

24-225-01   Introductory Acting I
            A practical study of the fundamentals of acting experienced
            through acting exercises.  [Mon/Wed - 4:00-5:20 pm]

24-344-02   Directing II
            A practical course involving rehearsal techniques and the
            presentation of scenes or one-act plays.   [Tues - 10:00-12:50
            pm]

24-384-01   Creative Movement and Voice II
            Continuation of 24-284.  The study and practice of movement and
            voice as they relate to the individual, theatre, and the
            classroom.  Emphasis may be on one or both disciplines as
            necessary.   [Tues/Thurs - 1:00-2:20 pm]

24-422-01   Advanced Television Performance/Production
            Students work individually or in small groups under the
            supervision of an instructor in the execution of a project for
            television.
            [Mon- 9:30-11:30 am; Wed - 9:00 am-12:50 pm]

24-457-30   Directed Studies in Performance - Come Back to the 5 and Dime
            Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean
            The emphasis in this course will be the production of Come Back
            to the 5 and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean produced by the School
            of  Dramatic Art.  Students will research, develop, and execute
            a role in the performance situation under the supervision of a
            faculty advisor-director.

Applications from those who have taught previously in Dramatic Art should
be accompanied by an updated C.V.


Applicants who have not taught previously in Dramatic should submit a
current curriculum vitae with their letter of application and arrange to
