  THE FRINGE OF TORONTO THEATRE FESTIVAL
  JULY 4 – JULY 15, 2007
   
  2007 FRINGE FESTIVAL APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE!!!
   
  The Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival, Toronto's largest theatre festival, is entering its 19th year of providing emerging and established artists with an affordable opportunity to produce a play for an enthusiastic audience.
   
  As a leader in the development of innovative and cutting edge theatre, The 2007 Toronto Fringe will feature the work of more than 130 independent theatre companies from Ontario, across Canada and around the world in ten theatres in downtown Toronto.
   
  for our 60-minute, 90-minute, KidsVenue and Bring Your Own Venue performance slots. All artists and theatre companies are welcome to apply to the festival and for the application fee of $700 (660.38 + 39.62 GST) and $600 (566.04 + 33.96 GST) for KidsVenue applications, each company will receive:
   
  - seven performances in a fully equipped venue with 90 – 200 seats (up to 8 performances for KidsVenue companies, up to 11 for Bring Your Own Venues)
   
  - one technician to assist with their production (Indoor and KidsVenue only)
   
  - complete box office and house management services
   
  - Festival associated publicity
   
  - and most importantly, 100% of their box office revenues
   
  Ontario, national, international and KidsVenue participants are selected by lottery.
   
  NEW!: The deadline to submit an application is 6PM on Friday January 12, 2007.
   
  In 2006, the festival achieved a record ticketed attendance of 47,222 and returned over $340,000 in box office revenue to 134 performing companies. By the end of the 2007, the Fringe of Toronto Theatre Festival will have hosted over 1,700 independent theatre productions and will have returned over $2,500,000 back to the participating artists Many of these productions have gone on to future successes including several Dora and Chalmers award nominees and winners. 
   
  Some recent productions that have received critical accolades for their post festival productions include JOB: THE HIP HOPERA, TOP GUN! THE MUSICAL, THE PAJAMA MEN IN STOP NOT GOING, RADIO:30, ROMEO & JULIET: REMIXED, FISH/WIFE, ONE MAN STAR WARS, DA KINK IN MY HAIR and the 5-time Tony award winning, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE which is currently playing to packed houses on Broadway.
