Linda Griffiths' Age of Arousal, winner of Calgary's Betty Mitchell Award
for Best New Play, 2007, opens tonight at the University of Windsor.

Wildy inspired by George Gissing's The Odd Women, Age of Arousal is set in
Victorian England at a time of enormous instability. The invention of the
Remington typewriter has brought women the opportunity to work as equals
with men (though they little suspected what the future would hold).
Struggling between conventional values and the new possibilities before
them, women begin to fight passionately for their emotional and sexual
independence.

Presented by University Players, Age of Arousal runs October 25-November
4, 2007. The production is directed by University of Windsor alum Dr.
Deborah Cottreau. For more information, go to www.universityplayers.com.
