Term Position in Voice at University of Winnipeg

The University of Winnipeg Department of Theatre and Film invites
applications for an 8-month term position as Voice/Text instructor
beginning September 1, 2008.  Duties include teaching undergraduate
courses in voice and text from 2nd to 4th year and text and voice
coaching on departmental productions, in close collaboration with the
Department’s movement instructor.

The ideal candidate will have an MFA in Theatre with a focus on
voice/text study or extensive advanced specialized training in a
recognized vocal system for actors.  Professional experience as a
voice/text coach or an actor, and teaching experience, especially in a
university setting, are desirable.  Candidates should also possess
expertise in approaching Shakespeare and other heightened text.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
