The Canadian Association for Theatre Research/ Association Canadienne de la Recherche Théâtrales is pleased to announce the winners of our Scholarly Prizes! 

Ann Saddlemyer Book Award for 2007. 
	The Saddlemyer Committee, Ric Knowles (Chair), Jennifer Stephenson, and Mariette Théberge, selected Michael McKinnie for his book "City Stages: Theatre and Urban Space in a Global City" (U of T Press). 
	Honourable mention went to Josette Feral for "Mise en scène et jeu de l'acteur, Entretiens tomb III, Voix de femmes" (Éditions Québec Amérique).


Richard Plant Award for 2007.
	Committee members Susan Bennett, Wes Pearce, and David Eden (Chair) selected Jennifer Drouin for her article "Daughters of the Carnivalized Nation in Jean-Pierre Ronfard's Shakespeare Adaptations /Lear/ and /Vie et mort du Roi Boiteux/," Theatre Research in Canada 27.1, Spring 2006. 

Jean-Cléo Godin Prize for 2007.  
	Committee members Louise Forsyth (Chair), Leanore Lieblein and Cam Culham selected two winners. Shawn Huffman was selected for his article  «Tissus du désir. Le travestissement et l’affectivité dans le théâtre de Michel Tremblay.» Voix et images. 32.2 (hiver 2007)  15-29, and Gilbert David for «Le langue-à-langue de Daniel Danis: une parole au corps à corps». Études françaises. 43.1 (2007). 63-81.

The annual CATR/ACRT conference was held May 31 to June 3, 2008, at the University of British Columbia. The scholarly awards were made at the CATR/ACRT banquet, held on June 2.
