This message elaborates upon the faculty-wide advertisement that  
appeared in today's Guardian (which will be joined by a similar  
advertisement in Friday's Times Higher).

As part of Queen Mary's continued investment in excellence in the  
Humanities and Social Sciences, Drama invites applications for the  
post of Senior Lecturer in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies.

Drama at Queen Mary, University of London is a leading centre for  
performance research and teaching, located in one of the United  
Kingdom's best research-focused universities.  We seek someone who  
will contribute both practical and seminar-based teaching to our  
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as complement and  
enhance Drama's research strengths. Applications from outstanding  
candidates in any area of drama, theatre and performance studies are  
invited but we especially welcome applications from those who can  
contribute to one or more of the following fields: critical approaches  
to performance, cultural industries and public policy; European and/or  
intercultural performance.

The post is full time and permanent, starting from 1 September 2011 or  
as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range  
£49,619 - £55,479 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits  
include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and interest- 
free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in  
the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act  
2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued  
leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
