Term Appointment – Interdisciplinary Performance (INTP) 

The Department of Creative Studies requires an instructor for term 2 of the 2012/13 Winter Session (January 1, 2013 – April 30, 2013) to teach the following courses in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Performance programme: 

THTR 111 Introduction to Theatre and World Performance Traditions 
Cross-cultural investigation of Western and non-Western performance traditions and practices including realistic, experimental, and intercultural theatre, as well as ritual performance processes. 

THTR 211 Performance, Embodiment, and Creativity 
Interdisciplinary investigation of the history, theory, and practice of performance as an embodied creative process and a form of artistic research. 

THTR 411 Performance Studies 
Seminar in the interdisciplinary field of performance studies, broadly conceived as the investigation of aesthetic, ritual, and everyday life performance practices. 

These courses are part of a 4 year BFA in Interdisciplinary Performance. INTP students are enrolled in Visual Arts studio courses, Creative Writing workshops, and Performance training courses. All of these courses are open to students from other degree programs; THTR 411 is cross-listed with Cultural Studies, which is housed in the Department of Critical Studies. The ideal candidate will be (directly or indirectly) familiar with the pedagogies of Jacques Lecoq and Eugenio Barba. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD degree and post-secondary teaching experience.

• curriculum vitae (detailing post-secondary teaching experience and performance history) 
• teaching evaluations 
• examples of recent work
