Hi all,

Apologies if this has gone out to CANDRAMA already, but I haven’t seen it through my feed and thought it would be very worthwhile for Canadian scholars to know about.

Very best!
Kim

Book series announcement

PERFORMING LANDSCAPES

Series editors: Deirdre Heddon and Sally Mackey

Series publisher: Palgrave Macmillan

We are delighted to announce a new series in the field of theatre and performance studies.

Performing Landscapes offers a critical study of generic and complex sites of and for performance. Each book focuses on a topographical site such as Forests, Edgelands, Mountains, Homes, Wilderness, Islands and Deserts. Distinctive to this series is that such landscape figures will be located both on and off the theatrical stage, approached as both material and representational grounds for performance-led analyses. With its unique focus on particular and singular sites, Performing Landscapes will develop in novel ways the debates concerning performance’s multiple relations to environment, ecology and global concerns.

Projected publication of first tranche of books: 2017

Titles already offered and under consideration include: Islands, Rivers, Mountains, Forests, Homes, Skies, Ruins, Gardens, Wastelands and Seas.

Please contact both Dee and Sally if you might be interested in contributing a book (monograph or edited anthology) to the series and would like the brief for authors.
