Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for your helpful suggests for co-lingual plays last month.

I have another, unrelated, question. I continue to research Toronto’s Alumnae Theatre Company which, since its founding in 1918, has been run entirely by women (since 1921 men have participated as ‘guests’). I wonder if anyone knows of older theatre companies in North America that are run by women—i.e. companies run by women whose founding predates 1918 and which continue to produce to this day? Happy to receive answers offlist.

Best,
Robin.
