Le Département de théâtre de l’Université d’Ottawa offre un programme de maîtrise ès arts d’une durée de deux ans menant à l'obtention d'une maîtrise ès arts en théâtre (théorie théâtrale et dramaturgie).



Ce programme donne aux étudiants l'occasion de développer et de perfectionner les compétences intellectuelles requises pour les études de doctorat. Il offre également la possibilité de maîtriser de nouvelles approches dans la pratique de la dramaturgie et l’écriture théâtrale en vue de la performance.



Le Département de théâtre offre deux formats de thèse de maîtrise (M.A.) :



1) La thèse de type traditionnel est le fruit d'un travail de recherche appuyé sur une analyse documentaire et sur les théories et les méthodes d'analyse critique pertinentes au sujet traité (100 pages) ;



2. La thèse avec projet de création comprend une composante écrite (50 pages) et une composante pratique destinées à répondre à une même question de recherche.

The Department of Theatre offers a two-year program leading to the degree of Master of Arts (MA) in Theatre (Theatre Theory and Dramaturgy).



This program gives students an opportunity to develop and perfect their analytical and scholarly skills required for doctoral studies. It also offers a chance to master new approaches in practice of dramaturgy and creative writing for performance



We offer two MA thesis options:

 1) The traditional MA thesis consists of a review of literature, its critical analysis and synthesis (100 pages);



2) MA thesis with creative project consists of a creative project and its critical  analysis  (50 pages).
