*Editor for /Stanislavski Studies/*

*/Stanislavski Studies: Practice, Legacy and Contemporary Theatre/**,*is
a journal published twice a year, in print and online, by Routledge,
Taylor & Francis, now in its ninth year of publication.

The journal currently has an editorial team of eight: an editor in
chief, 3 editors, 2 associate editors, a reviews editor and a social
media editor. The editorial team is supported by an advisory board,
which includes a range of international subject specialists.

We now seek to appoint a *new editor*.

The successful candidate will be a highly creative, motivated, organised
and collegiate individual with demonstrable specialisms in theatre. The
candidate should have general European and World Theatre interests, some
knowledge of Stanislavsky and his legacy, and have experience of working
in a similar role for a comparable publication. Additional interests in
the digital, electronic and broadcast media, film and television, would
be welcomed.

To assist with the geographical balance of the team, priority will be
given to a candidate who is located in North America, or who has strong
links with American and Canadian writers, scholars and practitioners.

We particularly welcome and encourage applications from candidates who
have historically been under-represented in this area including, but not
limited to: Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people; gender
non-binary, transgender or gender fluid people; and people with
disabilities.

The editor will work as part of a team, under the management of the
editor-in-chief, helping to source suitable material for publication and
undertaking the editing of at least two articles in each edition of the
journal.

The role will appeal to those who have developed editorial skills and
now wish to exercise those skills for a major international journal.

You should be:

·An active researcher of theatre and related subject areas with a
knowledge of current published work in the field.

·Developing a national and international network of academic contacts.

·An individual with appropriate experience of editing and/or curating
theatre related written work.

·Highly organised, efficient and with excellent communication skills.

·IT literate and able to use WP programmes, principally MS Word.

*The Editor’s*responsibilities will include:

·Contributing to the development of the journal and editing material
(based upon at least 2 articles in each edition).

·Establishing relationships with appropriate practitioners and scholars
and encouraging high quality, vibrant content as submissions.

·Working closely with the editorial team to ensure a fit with the ethos
and style of the journal.

·Liaising with the Journal’s editorial team and occasional guest editors
to provide regular updates on the status and content of materials for
publication.

·Acting as an advocate for the journal at conferences and symposia.

·Taking part in editorial meetings (held by Skype).

·Working with production editorial staff at Routledge, Taylor and
Francis as required.

The appointment will be for a fixed period of three years, which will
then be reviewed. In keeping with the rest of the roles in the team,
this post is *unpaid.*

To apply please send a CV and a one-page statement of your relevant
skills, and interests to *Paul Fryer* (paul at paulfryer.me.uk
<mailto:paul at paulfryer.me.uk>). Applications will be reviewed by a panel
