Critical Stages/Scènes critiques in its latest issue (#23) – published 30 June 2021 – features 50 contributions from 30 countries.

A truly multinational, multilayered and most perspectival assemblage of voices that bring to the world the latest news from the theatre/performance front, a front marked by socio-political, environmental, economic, educational, ideological and other challenges.

In addition to the issue’s Special Topic “Unstable Grounds: A Critical Rethinking of Performance and Politics,” there is a special section devoted to the latest winner of IATC’s Thalia Award, Japanese director and writer Tadashi Suzuki.
