Dear Canadian Association of Theatre Research colleagues and friends,

I am delighted to announce a special issue of the Voice and Speech Review<https://www.tandfonline.com/journals/rvsr20?utm_source=CPB&utm_medium=cms&utm_campaign=JRC27089&_ga=2.59063917.1778463020.1664649883-1035204693.1664649883&_gl=1*v52n6*_ga*MTAzNTIwNDY5My4xNjY0NjQ5ODgz*_ga_0HYE8YG0M6*MTY2NDY0OTg4Mi4xLjAuMTY2NDY0OTg4Ny4wLjAuMA..> (VSR) journal focused on Canadian Voice training, research, and creative work in theatre.

As the first Canadian Editor of the VSR journal, my aim is to highlight the inspiring work being done here in Canada in our fields, to map our shared histories, and to mobilize knowledge in our fields across geographic and disciplinary borders for future generations of artists, researchers, and scholars.

To support these goals, I recently published the first season of a research podcast, Voicing Creativity.

The podcast highlights research creativity across the Arts and Humanities, with 9 episodes featuring the incredible research contributions and leadership of Dr. Cheryl Thompson (Toronto Metropolitan University), Dr. Hannah McGregor (Simon Fraser University), Lisa Karen Cox (Toronto Metropolitan University), Dr. Julie Rak (University of Alberta), Dr. Orly Lael Netzer (Carleton University), Dr. Jenny Heijun Wills (University of Winnipeg), and Miriam Fernandes (University of Toronto, CTDPS). The Voicing Creativity podcast is available on apple podcasts<https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/voicing-creativity/id1631261423> as well as on the website<https://voicingcreativity.com>, and it will be made accessible on additional platforms shortly.

This research podcast will be an ongoing project, supporting knowledge mobilization and publishing across disciplines through new media approaches in tandem with the VSR.

Please consider submitting an article for this special issue of the Voice and Speech Review focused on Canadian Voice. I've added the official Call for Papers below.

Warmly,

Shannon
