color:black'>On January 24th at the Factory Studio Theatre Café, join members
of the Playwrights Union of Canada in an evening of play readings. The event
starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are $8.00 and are available at the door. </span></font><font
color=black><span style='color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=3 color=black face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
color:black'>This month we feature the works of David French, Shirley Barrie,
Frank Canino, Bonnie Anderson, Lisa O’Connell, Victoria Gorring and Lindsay

windowtext'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=3 color=black face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
color:black'>This series gives established and emerging playwrights the change
to debut their plays in front of an audience. Each playwright is given ten
minutes and there are eight playwrights in an evening. It’s just like going to
a short film festival for the theatre. This is an amazing chance to see new
works before anyone else in the city! </span></font><font color=black><span
style='color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=3 color=black face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
color:black'>The proceeds from the evening will go towards the fundraising
efforts of the Women’s Caucus of the PUC. They are raising funds to send
members to the International Conference of Women Playwrights in Athens this
fall. Canadian playwrights are becoming increasingly prominent on the world
stage and the Caucus hopes to send a sizeable delegation. </span></font><font
color=black><span style='color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext'><o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=3 color=black face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
color:black'>The next ONE NIGHT STAND will be held in March and feature
playwrights such as Djanet Sears and Norma Harrs. </span></font><font
