<DIV></DIV>>During the last five years an increasing number of university dance
<DIV></DIV>>employment announcements have required, or listed as desirable, a
<DIV></DIV>>knowledge of, or background in, technology. This summer, a survey
<DIV></DIV>>will be created to evaluate the
<DIV></DIV>>responsibilities, qualifications and salary range of dance
<DIV></DIV>>department
<DIV></DIV>>personnel hired specifically for their abilities with technology in
<DIV></DIV>>either teaching or the creative process. Technology is defined as
<DIV></DIV>>"beyond the VCR and cassette player." This isn't limited to the
<DIV></DIV>>United States.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>An article, or monograph, on the findings will be produced. Some
<DIV></DIV>>information
<DIV></DIV>>regarding personnel with similar qualifications in other arts
<DIV></DIV>>departments in
<DIV></DIV>>the university may be required. Institution and/or personnel names
<DIV></DIV>>will
<DIV></DIV>>not be used in reporting the findings.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>If you were hired, or your department hired someone who fits this
<DIV></DIV>>description and would be willing to fill out the survey, please
<DIV></DIV>>contact me.
