<DIV><FONT face="comic sans ms"><FONT size=3><STRONG>JD</STRONG></FONT> is an actor and director from Ajmere, Rahasthan. He is a graduate of the National School of Drama in New Delhi whose theatrical career began in high school as part of the late Safdar Hashmi's famous street theatre 'Jan Natya Manch'. Recently he has founded Hawari Theatre and is developing a studio on ten acres of land near Pushkar, Rajasthan. In the last couple years, he has conducted production-oriented theatre workshops with a cross-section of society: prisoners, sex workers, children of sex workers, slum dwellers, and college as well as grade-school students. He has toured his "Ek Qatra Khoon" [a drop of blood] for the past two years throughout northern India to great acclaim, and opened the 2003 International Fadjr Theatre Festival in Tehran, Iran.</FONT></DIV>
