Société québécoise d’études théâtrales fait un retour à l’histoire. Disons
surtout que la Société, qui célèbrera bientôt ses trente ans d’existence, renoue
lors de son prochain colloque bi-annuel avec sa mission d’origine – fondée en
1976, elle s’appelait alors Société d’histoire du théâtre du Québec --, mais en
prenant acte des changements qui ont marqué depuis le domaine des études
théâtrales, dont l’apport déterminant pour l’histoire du théâtre des théories
critiques et de la réflexion en historiographie.</FONT></P>

size=3> <o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT face=Arial size=3>Dans le
cadre du Congrès de l’ACFAS qui se tiendra entre le 10 et le 14 mai 2004 à
l’Université du Québec à Montréal, la SQET invite la communauté des chercheurs à
faire le bilan de la recherche en histoire qui se fait aujourd’hui dans un
contexte où celle-ci semble avoir perdu beaucoup de son prestige et de son
attrait auprès de la jeune génération de chercheurs. Cette rencontre vise
également à indiquer les voies nouvelles qui restent<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>à explorer dans ce domaine en prenant
appui notamment sur les progrès récents des sciences historiques.</FONT></P>
