Hi, this is a notice primarily directed to educators in the Greater Toronto
Area, or any who will be in the GTA February 10th-13th.
<p>The Festival of Original Theatre is the annual student-administered
event at the Graduate Centre for Study of Drama, U of Toronto. Our
theme is "bodies in space". You can read more about FOOT on our website

Why would you want to come?

keynote addresses by Brian Macdonald and Bruce Barton</li>
<li>
four conference paper sessions that go way beyond just drama, encompassing
such subjects as street protest as theatre, virtual reality, radio, capoeira
(an indigenous brazilian performance form that's part street-fight, part
dance), scenography, dance, painting, aerial theatre and educational administration</li>
<li>
10 free workshops including authentic Shakespearean dance, puppet manipulation,
acrobatics, stage-fighting, voice, mask and authentic movement</li>
<li>
evening performances in the theatre and in the concourse (aerial performance)</li>
</ul>
