<b>January 20-21, 2006, </b>the first gathering in Canada devoted to
exploring
the ideas and influences of Constantin Stanislavsky on the art of
directing. </p>

international assembly of artists and scholars from theatre and related
disciplines will examine a wide range of issues and perspectives,
providing
occasion for formal and informal dialogue.<span style="">

<p class="MsoNormal" style=""><b>Charles
Marowitz</b>, acclaimed director, teacher, playwright and critic will
deliver
the keynote address.<span style=""> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="">Of
special interest is a hands-on workshop for directors, <span
style="font-family: "WP TypographicSymbols";"><span style="">A</span></span>The
Method Director,<span style="font-family: "WP TypographicSymbols";"><span
style="">@</span></span>
conducted by <b>Gene Lasko</b> of the New School University, New York
and
longtime member of the Actors Studio, and an illustrated talk, <span
style="font-family: "WP TypographicSymbols";"><span style="">A</span></span>Stanislavsky
and Indigenous
Performance, by <b>Marrie Mumford</b>, of Métis/Chippewa-Cree
ancestry, who
will share her journey with the work of Stanislavsky through her
teachers
Morris Carnovsky, Sonia Moore, Herbert Bergoff and Irma Landry.</p>

John Astington and Anna Migliarisi are delighted with

of activities and range of presentations packed into a mere two days. <span
