<div>In his book on theatre in the city of Québec, <i>Place Jacques-Cartier, ou Qurante ans de théâtre français à Québec, André </i>Duval mentions a play on Montcalm, written by a woman, in English. It wasplayed in English in Tara Hall, in 1901, by amateurs, among whom Armand Lavergne, who became a lawyer in 1903.
