Education and Society, subject to final budgetary approval, beginning August 1,

must have strong classroom experience in the discipline across a wide range of
ages and cultures; an advanced understanding of Drama/Theatre in Education
theorists; experience in their application in the classroom and in the
community; and experience developing theatre for diverse communities. An MA,
MFA, or Level 3 Drama Specialist Certification and teaching at a post-secondary
level are required. Experience teaching drama pedagogy to teachers and
prospective teachers is preferred and experience in play building, curriculum
writing, assessment training and working within an interdisciplinary program is
desirable. Experience teaching acting is also preferred. The salary is
competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The candidate will teach up
to 8 half-courses in the program. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Department of Dramatic Arts offers a BA and a BA Honours in Theatre, Dramatic
Literature and Drama in Education and Society; a four-year BA in Theatre; a
concurrent B.A./B. Ed. and Co-op options in Drama in Education and Society,
Theatre and Dramatic Literature. A Certificate in Drama in Education and
Society is also offered, as well as Concentrations in Performance, Stagecraft
and Design and Drama in Education and Society. The program currently has eight
tenured or tenure track faculty in theatre, dramatic literature, and drama in
education and society, as well as full time technical staff and several
part-time instructors drawn from education and from the professional theatre.
