Canadian Association for Theatre Research (CATR) will take place at Concordia
University in Montreal, May 28 to 31, as part of the Congress of the Humanities
and Social Sciences. The theme of the 2010 Congress is “Le savoir
branché/Interconnected Knowledge”<b>. </b><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=Default><span style='font-size:11.5pt'>The mandate of the Association
is to support and encourage research in theatre and performance in Canada, with
a special interest in Canadian work. Therefore topics related to Canadian
research are especially welcome. Graduate students are expressly invited to
participate. All presenters are invited to address the Congress theme; however,
proposals that depart from the official Congress theme will also be accepted. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

(either working as individuals or in pairs) should include a 250-word abstract
describing the topic for the seminar group, the context and relevance of this
topic and a short list of questions with which participants may be engaged. In
addition to the abstract, leaders should also submit a working plan for the
seminar outlining the nature of the tasks in which participants will be engaged
and also a description of their contribution as seminar leaders. These tasks
should be designed with the aim of making the seminar time richly and equally
productive for all participants. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
