Group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) invites
submissions for its Debut Panel from scholars who have not yet presented at a

"Times New Roman"">The theme for the 2010 ATHE Conference in New York City is
"Theatre Alive: Theatre, Media and Survival," which has inspired the
LGBT Focus Group's theme "ALIVE AND KICKING (BACK)." As the conference
as a whole looks at the ways in which the growth of media and other new
technologies have affected the theatre, the LGBT Focus Group is interested in
panels exploring the specific ways LGBT artists, educators, students and
audiences fit into the equation.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>Although we especially welcome papers on the conference and focus group
themes, all proposals on LGBT theatre and performance will receive equal

ATHE members unless they work outside the academic study of theatre. For
