Dear List,

I'm just writing to let members know that Emergency INDEX, an annual catalogue and index of performance art, is still accepting (until December 31st) contributions for its 2012 issue. The INDEX includes brief descriptions of performances from around the world, including an image. Key words are derived from the descriptions and made into an index that researchers (or any interested individual) can use to draw links between performances across disciplines and national boundaries.

More information and submission guidelines are available at www.emergencyindex.com. The 2011 issue (released in March 2012) is also available for purchase.

Although the volume is published in English, contributions in French are also more than welcome, in which case contributors should send them directly to me using the attached forms at alarnason@gmail.com. I am responsible for translating them.

Since the strength of this type of document is its breadth and comprehensiveness, I would be most grateful if list members would pass this call along to any performers, institutions or associations that would be interested in contributing, or in helping to spread the word.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like any further information.

Best wishes, and happy holidays,

Luke Arnason (Toronto)
