</ul></div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Cultural Programming Updates:</u></b><br></div></div><ul><li>We are pleased to announce a special, one-night-only performance of <span style="color:rgb(255,0,0)"><i>Khalida</i> at the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre, 8pm, Saturday, May 24th</span>. Written and directed by David Fancy (Brock University), designed by Vojin Vasovic, and featuring Jason Jazrawy, <i>Khalida</i> is a dynamic, poetic, and politically relevant production
featuring the confessions and testimony of Said, a man in flight from a
conflict zone in the Middle East who has found himself in an oil
producing country in the economic North. Drawing on resonances from the
ongoing Arab spring, the production provides an opportunity to explore
cultural alienation in contemporary multicultural society. </li></ul><div> "<i>Khalida</i> is a complex rendering of the extraordinary life of an Iraqi
immigrant to North America. It is a collision of worlds, culture, and

</font>-- CATR 2014 Conference Attendees are invited to sign up for our trip to the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake on <span style="color:rgb(255,0,0)">Sunday May 25, 2014</span>. This event is open to CATR members and their guests. Your ticket price includes roundtrip bus transportation from Brock University to the Shaw Festival. Registrants will have access to a backstage tour of the Festival Theatre, a talk by Shaw Festival Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell, time for dinner, and tickets to one of two evening shows: <i>Cabaret</i> (Festival Theatre) or <i>The Charity that Began at Home: A Comedy for Philanthropists</i> (Court House Theatre).<br>
<br>Advance online registration is required. <b>Registration opens Friday, March 28th </b>and closes on May 20, 2014. Package prices are $80 (individual) and $55 (student/retired).
