The appointment will commence on July 1, 2016.</span></p>

Specializations of particular interest to us include -- but are not limited to -- the history of non-North American theatre cultures; theories and histories of acting; and/or the theory and history of dramaturgy. An interest in the intersections of theoretical or historical work and contemporary theatre practice would also be of value.</font></div>

<div align="left" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15.6px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><font size="3" face="Cambria">Applicants must hold a PhD degree in a related field and have at least two years of experience as a full-time faculty member; advanced Assistant Professors or early-career Associate Professors will be considered for this position. </font><font size="3" face="Cambria">Candidates will be expected to demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching through documented teaching accomplishments, letters of reference, and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application. Candidates also must have an established record of scholarly accomplishment including significant publications in leading academic journals and/or with leading academic presses, preferably including a monograph; they will provide evidence of excellence in research as demonstrated in presentations at significant conferences, fellowships or other research awards, and strong endorsements by referees. Experience in program administration will be an advantage.</font></div>

Duties will consist of research; the supervision of PhD dissertations; and teaching undergraduate courses at the Mississauga campus and graduate classes at the St. George campus. The successful candidate will be expected to play a significant role in the administration of our Theatre and Drama programs in future years.
