I can check with Theatre Museum Canada's email provider to see if this is
something we can do.
Thanks Wes.

So clearly CATR doesn't have the ability or desire to maintain or find an
institution to maintain CANDRAMA. And that is understandable. And list
servers are considered old school technology. However many of us like this
list and want it to continue...so, should we start making suggestions on how
this can be done..I think the obvious solution is for someone connected with
another institution (university or college) who knows how to connect with
the IT department and get some institutional buy in (research tool that
CANDRAMA is) on the political/funding end....to see if this is actually
feasible.

Either way, it is clear that someone(s) will have to take the plunge and
start digging.

I am not associated with an institution or business (as a self employed
artist) so cannot really help.......because I know it is easy to say
"someone else should do it" and hate being one of those back seat drivers.

Just a quick check finds articles like this:
The Candram list serv was never officially operated or even under the

auspices of CATR but was just how the association sometimes unofficially
communicated with members. Given the realities of today's technologies and
the nature of online communications CATR has made the decision to move
forward. BUT anyone is free to launch a new listserv if they like (as was
the origins of this one) but the initiative will not come from CATR.
