The Quebec government has decided to cut by 40% the budget of the Association internationale des études québécoises, which takes as its mission the promotion and development of Quebec studies outside of Quebec. The AIEQ network of Quebec Studies scholars, institutes,
and associations stretches across 32 countries. It supports the dissemination of scholarly work on Quebec in all fields in the form of scholarships, travel funding for artist and scholar visits/tours, access to journals, conference support, and more. </p>
