by the conveners to emphasize the deep, reciprocal relationships between the university and the communities with which it engages. These communities may be situated locally or globally, composed of artists or scholars, gathered along disciplinary or communitarian

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:150%">One important way to consider these questions is to recognize UBC’s Point Grey Campus location on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. As the
<a href="http://aboriginal.ubc.ca/community-youth/musqueam-and-ubc/">Musqueam UBC affiliation webpage explains</a>, the land on which UBC is situated has always been a place of learning for the Musqueam people, who for millennia have passed on their culture,
history, and traditions from one generation to the next on this site. The broader congress aims to pay particular attention to scholarly relations with Indigenous communities, especially in light of the newly opened
<a href="http://aboriginal.ubc.ca/indian-residential-school-centre/">Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre</a>.

<span style="color:#0B4CB4">la page Web d’affiliation de la bande Musqueam et de l’UBC</span></a>, le terrain sur lequel se trouve l’université a toujours été un lieu d’apprentissage pour les Musqueam, qui depuis des millénaires y transmettent leur culture,
leur histoire et leurs traditions. Le congrès dans son ensemble se propose d’accorder une attention spéciale aux relations universitaires avec les communautés autochtones, en particulier à la lumière du nouveau

aux membres de réfléchir à la façon dont les arts du spectacle et leur exécution peuvent ouvrir des cercles de discussions et des possibilités de dialogue, de débat et de différences d’opinions, ainsi que des occasions de réimaginer et de refaire.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
