Each year, CATR recognizes the accomplishments of its members and others in our field with a number of scholarships and awards.<br class="">
<br class="">
Nominations for the Richard Plant Award, the Jean-Cléo Godin Award, the Ann Saddlemyer Award and the O’Neill Award will be determined by individual committees. These committees have been tasked with surveying a wide range of publications throughout the year,
with each committee focusing on the appropriate language publications for each award. However, nominations for these prizes are also welcomed from the full membership of CATR. The awards honour scholarly work of significant merit in any area of Canadian theatre
research. The authors do not have to be members of the Association.<br class="">
<br class="">
The deadline for all 2018 Scholarly Award Submissions is <strong class="">January 15, 2019</strong>. Nominations must include a brief letter (email) of support, but a seconder is not necessary. Members are also encouraged to consider self-nomination. Nominations
for all awards should be sent <strong class="">directly to this year's coordinator of Scholarly Awards, </strong>Dr. Roberta Barker.<br class="">

Nominations are sought for the following awards:</span>

<li class=""><span style="font-size: 13px;" class=""><strong class="">Richard Plant Award:</strong> Named in honour of the association’s co-founder, this award is given annually to the best English-language article on a Canadian theatre or performance topic.</span></li><li class=""><span style="font-size: 13px;" class=""><strong class="">Jean-Cléo Godin Award:</strong> Given annually to the best scholarly article in French, this award honours scholarly work of significant merit in any area of Canadian theatre research.</span></li><li class=""><span style="font-size: 13px;" class=""><strong class="">Ann Saddlemyer Award:</strong> Named in honour of the association’s co-founder, the Saddlemyer Award goes to the best book published in English or French in a given year. The winning book
should normally be broadly on a Canadian topic, and should constitute a substantial contribution to Canadian Theatre and Performance Studies.</span></li><li class=""><span style="font-size: 13px;" class=""><strong class="">Patrick O’Neill Award: </strong>The Patrick O’Neill Award is given each year to the best edited collection published in either English or French on a Canadian theatre and performance topic.
The award is given in alternate years to a play anthology and an essay collection. For the 2018 award, play anthologies published in 2017 or 2018 will be considered.</span></li></ul>

Les nominations pour les prix Richard Plant, Jean-Cléo Godin, Ann Saddlemyer et Patrick O’Neill seront déterminées par les comités de sélection. Ces comités ont comme tâche de passer en revue les numéros d’un certain nombre de périodiques parus au cours de
l'année. Chaque comité se limitera à la langue associée au prix dont il a la responsabilité. Par contre, tous et toutes les membres de l'ARCT ont le droit de proposer leur propre nomination pour ces prix. Ces prix reconnaissent l'importance des recherches
scientifiques dans n'importe quel domaine des recherches théâtrales au Canada. Il n'est pas nécessaire que les récipiendaires soient membres de l'Association.<br class="">
<br class="">
La date limite pour la nomination des prix d'excellence 2018 est <strong class="">le 15 janvier, 2019</strong>. Les nominations doivent inclure une lettre (courriel) d'appui, mais une deuxième lettre d'appui à la nomination n'est pas nécessaire. Les membres
