The DAN School of Drama and Music at Queen’s University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching DRAM 448/3.0 Theatre Administration. Due to the novel Coronavirus situation, there is a possibility that some courses may be the DAN School expects to be delivering courses remotely but we expect that by January most courses will be delivered in person. This is an on-campus, fourth-year lecture/seminar course with an expected enrolment of 20-25 undergraduate students and possibly as many as 5 graduate students from our MA in Arts Leadership program. Undergraduate students will have taken some courses in production, but not necessarily any previous administration-related courses. The DRAM 348 code mentioned below is the code previously assigned to this course. <br />

Candidates should have a M.A. or M.B.A. or Ph.D or equivalent experience, and teaching experience at the University level. This is a term appointment with for the period January 1, 2022 to April 30, 2022, with classes in session from January 1 to April 30, 2022 The University invites applications from all qualified individuals. Course Description: DRAM 448/3.0 Theatre Administration This course examines a range of administrative and collaborative skills necessary for producing theatre works. Among the areas that will be defined and discussed are marketing, budgeting, fundraising, staffing, and production management, as applied to a variety of types of organizational contexts (commercial, non-profit, university, and community). LEARNING HOURS 120 (36S;84P) EQUIVALENCY DRAM 348/3.0. PREREQUISITE Level 4 and registration in a COCA, DRAM, MAPP, MUSC, MUTH, or STSC Plan.</div>
