<span style="font-family: "Noto Sans", Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);">We are inviting new proposals for this series, which has already established itself as diverse and innovative, with published volumes spanning
multiple continents and featuring a strong balance of South Asian, South East Asian, European, British, and North American performance. Our goal as editors is to continue the series’ existing focus on select individual artists while encouraging more volumes
that group multiple theatre makers together across widely taught shared interests and topics. Elements volumes are designed to appeal to students as well as to new and established scholars, and we especially encourage proposals that emerge from the question, <i>‘whose
remarkable work am I teaching that could use a brief, accessible volume dedicated to them?’ </i>and <i>‘what overarching themes and questions are my students persistently grappling with, and where would they benefit from a pithy, lively guide to navigate them?'</i></span></p>

<span style="font-family: "Noto Sans", Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);">Restoring women theatre makers to the history of theatre is an important task, but restoring the practice of shaping theatre history to women
makers and scholars is just as important. Every act of recovery or restoration is necessarily incomplete; could the contingent, fragmented and heterogeneous nature of writing women theatre makers into theatre history create productive tensions that might allow
us to rethink the making of theatre history itself?</span></p>
