School. The summer school is an event that brings researchers from all over the world to UW for two weeks to build models of neural systems and to program neuromorphic hardware systems. These researchers learn to use a software toolkit called Nengo, developed
here in the UW Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience, to build state-of-the-art AI applications that run on neuromorphic computers. The open house will be an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate what they built in a short period of time using Nengo
and spiking neural networks. </span></p>
