</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=purple><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal>Hello all<span style='color:#1F497D'> </span>members of the Hopespring Prostate Support Group:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>The note below is being sent to you to remind you and the people you know about Movember. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Please feel free to pass it onto others to spread the word about Movember and PCa awareness.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal>Movember is the month formerly known as November.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>MO is Auzzie slang for Moustache.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Movember is the time for the “men in your life” to grow a moustache to raise funds to promote Prostate Cancer Awareness, Education, Survivourship, and Research. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Who are “the men in your life”?<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>- spouse/ significant other/ life partner<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>- son / father / grandfather<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>- brother / uncle<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>- co-workers / friends / acquaintances<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>- for men – look in the mirror<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As someone who was diagnosed with early stage<span style='color:#1F497D'> </span>Prostate Cancer (PCa), treated, and is optimistic about becoming a survivor, I believe that<span style='color:#1F497D'> </span>the “men in your life” should be encouraged to have a PSA test. PSA tests should start at age 40 to establish a baseline & at age 50 begin annual monitoring. As a member of 3 different Prostate Support Groups, I have met men who were diagnosed too late and had metastasized PCa.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>So, have the ”men in your life” go to the Movember web site, <a href="http://ca.movember.com">http://ca.movember.com</a> , and either sign up to register, start a team, or to join my team-click “donate “ tab<span style='color:red'> </span>and then click tab “to a team” and after ”find team” appears, enter <span style='color:red'>glensgaggle </span>and make a donation (over $20 gets a tax receipt) and as a “Mo Bro” grow a moustache.
